About
England is one of the most nature depleted countries in the world and as its oldest National Park, regeneration of the Peak District will play an important role in rebuilding that lost biodiversity.

We're working to create a low input, sustainable landholding which allows nature the time and space to thrive and inspires others to build their own regeneration projects

Our site features a newly planted native woodland, wildflower meadows, wetlands, an agroforesty system and a heritage market garden, alongside large grassland areas, all of which are managed for biodiversity.

Building Biodiversity
Wetlands
We're digging several ponds and scrapes on the eastern edge of the site to create a series of habitats for wetland plants and creatures. These provide shelter and food for important birds, insects and aquatic wildlife.
Grasslands
Regenerating the grasslands starts with careful grazing management alongside the addition of local wildflower mixes to improve the seed bank diversity. A varied sward means healthier, carbon rich soils and more food for pollinators.
Woodlands
We're planting a series of native woodland pockets on the site that offer excellent habitats for wildlife as well as sequestering carbon. Hedges are also being added as these act as valuable wildlife corridors, shelter and food sources.
Coming Soon
Once we have established the key habitats on the site we'll be welcoming visitors to the wildland!
